Uma Ukpai Polytechnic Names Her Engineering Block After Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu.
The Management of Uma Ukpai Polytechnic, Asaga Ohafia has renamed its Engineering Block with the name of the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu
This development came during the 7th Anniversary Of Uma Ukpai Polytechnic, Asaga Ohafia, Abia State which had the Abia State No.2 Law Maker as a Special Guest.
In his Speech, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Azu, noted that the move was in honour of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu who has in his position as the Member Representing Ohafia South Constituency contributed immensely to the Education, Health and infrastructural Development of their host town, Ohafia. He urged the Vibrant Law Maker never to relent in giving his people a quality representation.
In his response, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu thanked the management of the institution for the honour done to him as well as appreciated them for their efforts in overseeing the smooth operation of the school over the years.
He also thanked the Founder of the School, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai for citing the Institution in Ohafia and for providing the necessary support to the management of the school which has seen it excel since its formation.
According to Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu who is the Candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general election, the renowned clergyman has written his name in Gold in the history of Ohafia, Abia State and the Nation at large with his huge investments in the things of God and also as it bothers of human development.
He also noted that the Institution and other investments of the veteran preacher of the Gospel which includes; Hospitals, Schools and others in Ohafia has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the town and prayed to God to continue to sustain him with good health, long life and more wisdom to enable him carry on.
The event attracted top educationists, traditional rulers in Ohafia and top government functionaries.
