Solomon Barry and Bright Omega have been detained, according to the Lagos State Police Command, for allegedly raping a 21-year-old dancer inside a Nissan Almera 2017 model at the Alausa Business District in the state's Ikeja region.
The offenders were apprehended in the act when Rapid Response Squad officers were on patrol, according to a statement released on Thursday by the state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
He stated, "Rapid Response Squad officers detained two males early on Saturday morning for allegedly raping a dancer, 21, inside a 2017 Nissan Almera in Ikeja's Alausa Business District.

"When the authorities got a closer look, they saw that the woman was unresponsive and not responding to their commands. As soon as possible, the police arrested the suspects and hurriedly took the woman to RRS headquarters for treatment, where she later became aware.
Investigation showed that the woman had met the suspects at a club near the Ikeja Shopping Mall in Alausa and had agreed to drive them around the area and stay with them.
According to Hundeyin, Olayinka Egbeyemi, the Commander RRS, sent the matter to the police gender section, which specialises in handling such situations, while following the Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi's instructions.
