IPOB Cancels Monday Sit At Home In South East

Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has revoked its sit-at-home mandate in southeast Nigeria, saying the decision is to promote peace and harmony as negotiated with the Anambra government.


The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports on Saturday from Awka that IPOB respected the plea by the Anambra Government and Traditional rulers to make ready for harmony, since all Igbo partners and strict pioneers have announced their expectation to track down an enduring answer for weakness and unending sit-at-home orders in the South East.

NAN reports that the choice was revealed by the Chairman, Anambra Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, during a one-day peacebuilding and security meeting held in Awka on Saturday.

As per him, "It is concurred that on Sunday, April 3, all chapels will declare the IPOB choice to their confidence to emerge on Monday 11am to their different houses of worship to offer petitions to God for the rebuilding of harmony and financial turn of events."


NAN reports that bunches of different speakers at the gathering talked in accordance with the choice.
