A native of Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria, Chuks Nwanne is a graduate of Mass Communication from the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria. He also holds a Master Degree in Communication Studies (MCS) from the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Lagos. 

Chuks joined The Guardian newspaper in 2008 as a reporter covering the Entertainment Beat and later became Editorial Assistant, The Guardian Life Magazine, a weekly all gloss lifestyle magazine published in The Guardian on Sunday. He later became the Assistant Editor (Entertainment & Lifestyle) of the paper until June 8, 2020, when he assumed office as Editor, The Guardian On Saturday.

He has attended training courses and conferences within and outside Nigeria, including Online Music Journalism Training in South Africa, sponsored by Goethe Institut and Siemens Stiftung Foundation, Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills (AWAREs), Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, sponsored by Chevron Nigeria among others.        

Married with three children, Chuks is the Founder and Creative Director of Ogbunike Cave Festival, a yearly three-day cultural festival aimed at promoting the popular Ogbunike Cave, a major tourist site in Nigeria. Widely traveled, he is a member of BET Award International Voting College, member Music In Africa Foundation (South Africa) and was member of Board of Judges for the Future Award Africa for five years.
