Lawmaker Hails Ututu Women Aba Branch, Describes Them as Pillars of Support
The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, has appauded Executives and members of Ututu Development Union (UDU), Aba Branch, for their prayers and for being supportive of his representation.The Lawmaker who stated this during his courtesy visit to the women at Aba, explained that he decided to reach out to them as part of his constituents, so as to know how they are fairing.
Hon. Ukoha revealed to them that ever since he assumed position as their representative, he has been reaching out to his constituents wherever they are from time to time, adding such is how it should be.
He used the medium to highlight some of his numerous activities across Arochukwu LGA and Ututu in particular which include a borehole at Cottage Hospital Abuma, Ututu, taking up the fixing of windows at Ututu Police Station, the ongoing training of 19 Ututu girls at Aba on Hairstylisting, Pedicure and Manicure, embarking on his second phase Ukoha bursary to selected Students of Arochukwu LGA in Tertiary Institutions, Financial Merit Award to SS3 students across the Secondary Schools, Palliatives to Ututu, during the COVID-19 pandemic, among others.
The Minority Whip told the women that his office will be willing to set the 19 hairstylists up as soon as they are through.
He called on them to utilise the opportunity availed by the ongoing INEC voter registration/transfer, to do the same so as to make their votes to be counted.
Earlier in her remark on behalf of the women, Mrs. Alice Kalu, President Ututu Development Union, Aba Branch, thanked the Lawmaker for finding time out of his tight schedule to visit them.
She noted that since he assumed position as the representative of Arochukwu State Constituency, there have been a new phase of humility, hardwork, commitment and quality Leadership style being witnessed, adding that this the first time a Lawmaker will visit and have an interaction with them.
She prayed God to bless him in his people oriented political journey, and urged him never to relent.
