Lawmaker Charges Umu Aro To Be Committed in Community Development, Others
The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, has charged all sons and daughters of Arochukwu Kingdom to always be committed in the affair and development of the community, for its progress.
The Lawmaker gave the charge on Saturday 16th of July, 2022, during the all important Central Executive Committee meeting of Nzuko Aro, which was held in Abuja.
In his presentation, the Lawmaker explained that he was there to share with them an overview of his activities so far, as their representative, as well as his efforts towards Arochukwu Kingdom.
Continuing, he stated he feels delighted that some Aro women who are into petty businesses, have been able to access an interest free loan, which he initiated in collaboration with Aro women in diaspora, regretting that the women were heavily exploited with higher interest rate, before his interventions. He humbly charged the leadership of Nzuko Aro not to reinvent the wheel with regards to women empowerment but rather join forces and refine the successful Diaspora Initiative to enable more women access the funds.
He used the opportunity to highlight some of his numerous achievements in office across the five clans in his constituency, in the areas of education, social amenities, women/youth empowerment, numerous individual and group interventions among others.
Hon. Ukoha, call on all sons and daughters to endeavour to key into the move towards the upliftment and development of Arochukwu Kingdom, stressing that their little sacrifices matters a lot.
He used the medium to inform them of his efforts in the ongoing CVR by INEC, and also call on them to utilise the huge opportunity afforded, to transfer their PVCs to their various units as politics is all about number. He promised to assist members in various branches to transfer their PVCs to Aro starting with Umuahia branch, scheduled for Monday, July 18, 2022.
He prayed God to always protect and be with all Umu Aro wherever they are and advised them to always think home at all times.
