His Grace, Most Revd. Andrew Okenwa of The Methodist Church Nigeria and Rev. UgohKings Adirije of The Apostolic House Int'l led other anointed men of God to dedicate the campaign headquarters and prayed for Senator Nwaka and his campaign team for the success of his ambition and for God's protection.
Speaking at the event, Senator Nwaka reiterated his resolve to lead the Abia of the dream of the founding fathers of the state. He promised to make the youths and women part of his administration and promised not to disappoint as he had delivered on previous assignments handled for the state.He stressed that he is in the race to make a difference and would not be deterred by the recent developments in the PDP. He implored the party to respect a clear zoning pattern of the party as well as hold tenaciously to the Abia Charter of Equity as put forward by the founding fathers of the state to ensure equity and justice among the different blocs that make up Abia State. He maintained that power should be shifted to Isuikwuato District nay Abia North zone for peace to reign in the state.
In their goodwill speeches, Chief Chuzzy Iboko former Director-General, BCA, Dr. Chinonyerem Uwadinjo former State Treasurer PDP, Barr. Chief Anthony E. Ojinji former Permanent Secretary, Hon. Uchechi Ogbuka former State Publicity Secretary PDP, Hon. Chief Francis Iwuoha, Hon. Chief Emma Erere, Mrs. Chika Ochiagha, Hon. Chinyere Inyama eulogized the sterling qualities of Senator Emma Nwaka noting that he will deliver to the people if given the mandate as they have known him for excellent performances in the past two decades. Particularly Chief Iboko who pointed his contributions while he served as the Chairman BCA Governing Board.
Others present include; Hon. Chief Obinna Ekekwe former Commissioner and TC Chairman Isuikwuato LGA, Chief Ebere Ikoro (Frankfyne), Engr. Ndukwe Offiah, Pharm. Ifeanyi Ibekwe, Hon. Nnanna A. Oriba, Chief Boniface N. Ekpemu, Chief Emma Ajala former TC Chairman Umunneochi LGA, Chief Ben Egwuonwu former South East Zonal exco PDP, Dr. N. C. Ekeh Special Adviser on Arts, Culture & Tourism to the Governor, Hon. Orunta Amadi Obi, Chief Prosper Aruike Ejimofor PDP House of Assembly aspirant and his team of supporters, Hon. Chief Hendris Ojiabor former Deputy Chairman Isuikwuato LGA and others too numerous to mention.
Hon. Prince Enyinnaya Ubani former Commissioner in Abia State gave the vote of thanks at the event.
The DJ, Bende War Dance and Amokwe Amiyi Cultural Dance troupes thrilled the audience with melodies and music as people danced in merriment heralding a new era in Abia. Alhaji Kobo of Family Love FM radio station was also on ground to entertain the crowd as well as food and drinks served to all present.
The event came to a glorious end following the closing prayers said by Hon. Chief Hendris Ojiabor.
